OK...so this is a blog for our fun little company, Pure Dharma. The whole idea behind PD started one day while I was at the yoga studio for a 6am class. I was looking at all the clothing, accessories, candles and everything else and realized that there were still things that I wanted but could not find. I was thinking how fun would it be to just make a scarf or a shrug? It didn't take to long after that to get started. Next, I called my sister in law and wanted to see if she was interested in joining. She was pretty excited and then we were off.
The process of getting the paperwork was a bit overwhelming. However, I was shocked when I went to the building to get our federal tax id stuff. I had to bring my kids with me and the idea of sitting in a room with a bunch of other people waiting for my number to be called was less the exciting. When I got there, no one was there. We walked in and within 10 minutes everything was filed and done. Upon leaving, I had to sign out and the girl at the counter said that she had never seen someone come and go so quickly. I took that as a sign that it was meant to be.
We have been operating for about 2 months and have been extremely fortunate. I am sure I speak for Melissa too when I say, we are very appreciative of all and everyone who has been supporting us.
We are excited to get the Spring 2011 finalized and out. I have been doing so much research on colors, trends and working on the bookeeping part that my eyes actually hurt! The idea of sitting behind a computer all day would be super draining...at least for me. I also like to talk a lot, especially about things I adore, such as my family, yoga, and now pure dharma.
